• Mascara is probably one of the most popular makeup products in the world. Wanna know the right way to curl your lashes? Get as much volume as possible? Or some tips for avoiding mascara on your eyelids? Look no further! We’ve put together a list of four simple steps that will help you get the best results possible when applying mascara:

1. Curl your lashes. And always do this before applying mascara. Also, make sure your lashes are clean and dry.

2. If you’re aiming for as long lashes as possible: start the application by putting mascara on the very top of the lashes by going from the middle and up. The lashes are very thin at the top and doing this will create a great mascara base. After this, just apply mascara as you normally do form the bottom to the top.

3. To maximise the volume, apply the mascara in a zig-zac movement. Another trick is to put on a bit of eyeliner as it draws focus on the eye making it look even more voluminous.

4. In case you struggle with getting mascara on your eyelids when applying it (extremely annoying when we’ve already managed to nail the eyeshadow, right?) you could simply hold a piece of paper or a card like on the photo above.
